We use and show only the best!

We promote ecotourism, a consious use of earths resources. There is only one earth. Our team of independent experts is your guarantee to ensure an outmost quality experience with smallest possible harm to the nature.

 

- The Camp has an environmental policy, aiming at minimizing effects on nature and the environment.

- We use only unleaded fuel in all our machines.

- Our quadbikes are all 4-stroke engines

- We use only environmentally approved oils in all our machines.

- We recycle plasticbottles, paper, glass, cardborad etc

- Kitchen waste is appropriate composted and taken care of

- Whenever possible we use local and fair trade products.

- We have installed extra insulation in many of the buildings in the Camp

- Low energy lighting is being installed throughout the Camp

 

 

Joonas Tenhunen: Founder, CEO Camp Noppikoski

Joonas Tenhunen

Joonas is a worldwide traveler and promotor of international and domestic tourism. Member of the board of Nordic Area, www.nordicarea.se. Former member of various boards of directors within the field of tourism, including Siljan Turism, www.siljan.se, which consists of more then 600 corporations for the development of tourism in this region. Joonas is currently also the owner of www.orsahotell.se as well as the school, www.het.se. This specialized new school has its focus on Hotel, Eventplanning and Tourism. Students have their base at the hotel in Orsa and also in Noppikoski. Currently, Joonas is also leading a private project on finding lost shipwrecks in south-east Asia. Joonas speaks english, finnish and some german.

 

 

Sven Brunberg: Bear expert and scientist, head of field operations, "Scandinavian bear project"

 

Sven Brunberg

Sven is a worldwide known expert on brownbears and currently heads the fieldsection of “The Scandinavian bear project” which is a co-operation between many countries, organisations and scientists. He is leading a team of scientists that are on a fact-finding mission about the brown bear. The issues can involve anything from what the bears eat, how they move around, behave til what to do, if meeting a bear in the wilderness. Sven lives in Tackåsen, a small village in Orsa Finnmark. Sven speaks english and some german.

 

 

Andrea Friebe: Bear expert and scientist, excursion leader on "brown bears"

 

 

 

 

Andrea is a also a well-known expert on brownbears and is currently doing excurison both for the  “The Scandinavian bear project” and for other groups. Andrea started as a student for the project, but soon fell in love with the wilderness here, left germany and moved to the heart of Orsa Finnmark. She is now living in Kvarnberg, a small village next to Noppikoski. Andrea has german as a native tounge but also speaks english and Swedish.

 

 

Anders Björklund:  Photographer, writer, researcher

Anders Bjorklund

Anders is one of Swedens leading photographers on bears and wildlife in general. Anders has written books, articles and stories for numerous newspapers, magazines and organisations. He is often used as an speaker and expert on wildlife and bears in particular. Anders is also working as the city architect and is based in Orsa. Anders speaks both English and german.

 

 

 

Jörgen Storm: Fishing expert, Swedish Champion in fishing.

Jörgen is probably the most extinguished fishing expert to be found in Sweden. He holds no less then 6 Swedish gold titles, 2 gold titels in the Nordic championships, and numerous other titels in both winter and summer fishing.

His skills and knowledge is outstanding, rest assured that Jörgen will show you the art of fishing like noone else.

 

 

 

 

Pontus Bengtsson: Master of Snowmobiles and Quadbikes, huntingguide.

 

 

Pontus is since many years a well-known figure when talking snowmobiles, racing and quadbikes. He has beeen a teacher and leading person in the promotion of snowmobiling, safety and long-range excursions. He has under numerous occations and expeditions been a leader for both locals and tourists. He most certainly knows the wilderness in Orsa Finnmark like the back of his hand. He, if anybody knows how to survive the wilderness and will get you safely in and out of a true wilderness experience.

Pontus speaks english and some german.
